National Championship AA Preview: New Hampshire Tomahawks

Follow the NLF on InstagramTwitter and Facebook. This is the New Hampshire Tomahawks 2020 and 2021 preview for the 2019 NLF Club National Championships. We’ll be profiling some of the top players from every 2020 AA and 2021 AA teams who will be in attendance.

2020
Top Commits

Sean Cameron, midfield, Bishop Guertin (N.H.) / Princeton
Mason Drouin, midfield, Pinkerton (N.H.) / Bryant
Matt Licata, attack, Timberlane (N.H.) / Utah
Chad Teresky, attack, Berkshire (Mass.) / Air Force
Michael Tracanna, defense, Phillips Andover (Mass.) / Holy Cross

Top Uncommitted Players

Jed Heald, defense, Phillips (Mass.) – Heald does an excellent job of disrupting offensive flow with his incredibly active stick. He has a penchant for knocking down and picking off passes, and his high IQ and skill level make the long lefty a problem on the defensive end.

Jonathan Holland, defense, Pinkerton (N.H.) – Holland combines a physical style with high skill level and he thrives off the ground, and he’s been one of the Tomahawks’ top players all summer long.

Max Patterson, LSM, Cape Elizabeth (Me.) – A shutdown defender and ground ball machine having a dynamic summer, the high-academic Patterson excels in transition and has been known to wreak havoc in the middle of the field.

2021
Top Uncommitted Players

Spencer Clark, midfield, Exeter (N.H.) – An old-school two-way midfielder who is superb in transition, Clark is a slippery, ankle-breaker type on offense who can break down a defense and unleash a vicious shot on the run. Give him time and space and it’s over, and as a bonus, he’s also an excellent defender.

Tommy McNeal, LSM, Central Catholic (N.H.) – Also a football and basketball player, McNeal is constantly providing problems for offenses, and you can usually put him down for three or four goals per tournament, thanks to his great play off the ground and in transition. He’s also a big-time takeaway artist.

Anthony Romano, defense, Groton (Mass.) – If you’re going to beat Romano, you’re going to have to earn it, because he physically wears attackmen down. He loves to try to overpower and grind down his matchup. Bring extra ice packs for after the game if he’s covering you.
