Make room in the trophy case and make room in the history books, Laxachusetts.
The Boston-based NLF founding member’s vaunted 2027 group made club history by taking home the 2026 NLF National Championship with a 12-3 rout of the Colorado Kings. Five-star Princeton commit Fin Kilbourne (St. Paul’s, N.H.) picked up tournament MVP honors for the champions. Fellow five-star Tiger verbal Jack Czepiel (Tabor, Mass.) and four-star Duke commit Dion Kitsos (Milton Academy, Mass.) led a staunch defensive effort that shut down a potent Kings offense in the final.
The win marked the second NLF national championship for the Laxachusetts ’27s after they beat the Kings at Lehigh University in 2022.
Laxachusetts took out the reigning NLF national champion West Coast Starz in the semifinals after beating Leading Edge in the quarterfinals. The Kings, led by Notre Dame commit JT Cross, the country’s top-ranked attackman, beat Long Island Express and Team 91 South in the playoffs. The championship game featured more than 40 college commitments, including verbals to Princeton, Notre Dame, Duke, Michigan, Penn, Army, Navy, Air Force and a host of other top programs.
