Recruiting in Full Swing
Long Island Express Chucks 2028 and Laxachusetts Black 2027 both went undefeated in their five games. More than 60 college coaches were in attendance, including coaches from the ACC, Ivy, Big Ten and more.
Five-star attackman Harrison Tyler (Lawrenceville, N.J.) and four-star attackman Ben Smith (Garden City, N.Y.) and four-star defenseman Steve Panagopoulos (Lawrenceville, N.J.) were the headliners for the Express 2028s. The goaltending duo of AJ Rodriguez (St. Anthony’s, N.Y.) and Nick Scicchitano (Chaminade, N.Y.) were a terrific duo in the cage.
Laxachusetts Black looked the part of a team that reached the NLF National Championships semifinals last year in outscoring its opponents 79-14 this weekend. Attackman Roman Casagrande (Milton Academy, Mass.) and midfielder Quinn Peterson (Deerfield, Mass.) headlined the offense. Dan Protopopov (Milton Academy, Mass.) and Sully Carven (Thayer, Mass.) highlighted a stingy defense.
