Fusion Futures pulled off two very rare feats at the NLF National Championships.
They downed Eclipse, 7-4, to become only the second Philly team to ever win an NLF national title. Earlier this summer, Fusion also won the NLF Summer Kickoff, giving the club a seldom achieve double dip of NLF championships in one summer.
Goalie Hunter Poet collected tournament MVP honors after backstopping his team to a title. Nate Hengst dished out two assists and scored once to pace a balanced offense in which seven players recorded points. Kane Primanti scored twice for the champs, who also got two assists from Jax Taylor. Luke Moulder, Cale Seaman, Kaleb Kegler and Tycen Norman each added a goal in the victory.
Nicholas Warden tallied twice for Eclipse, which also got goals from Max Dinneen and Eric Cutri.
